Planning Portal Bus visits Winchester
On Monday 9th July Winchester City Council played host to the Planning Portal’s double decker bus. The on-board team was available to help agents, and members of the public, to submit electronic planning applications and explain some of the benefits of working online. In total 98 people visited the bus during the day, and both Planning Portal staff and Winchester City Council were delighted with the response to this innovative initiative. Hampshire Authorities work together on 1APP Project
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Planning Authorities (HIPOG) are working together to prepare for the changes to the way planning applications are submitted following the expected introduction by the Government of the National Standard Planning Application forms. Authorities across the County have prepared a common approach to the introduction of the new forms, and will be joining together in joint agents meetings which will take place in various venues across the County.

National and Local Requirements for 1APP
Communities and Local Government have released the National Requirements for a valid application, but local authorities are still waiting for the release of the Local Requirements list from CLG. Further information will be circulated as soon as it becomes available. Any Local Requirement lists will be fully consulted on, via Winchester City Council’s website, before the deadline of 1st October 2007 -for the introduction of the new 1APP forms.

Agents Forum to return to Winchester City Council
Winchester City Council will be re-introducing regular Agents Forum’s over the coming months. The next Agent’s Forum will take place in early Autumn where a range of topics will be discussed.
